About Me

  • My name is Janine. Life dazzles me! I am a Catholic wife and mother. I have been married for 28 years to a man that dazzles me. I have 6 children - 5 daughters and 1 son. My oldest daughter is married and has blessed us with 3 granddaughters. Here are the things I love: spending time with my family, going on dates with my husband, being with my marvelous girls, moments with cherished friends, the color red, taking snapshots, great books, most magazines, collecting quotes, coffee, genealogy, running, classic rock, and wearing high heels. I love meeting people, going places, and doing things. I love learning from the people that cross my path and share my journey. Because others inspire, teach, amuse, and dazzle me I seem to always be saying, "I love that about you!"

Reading good books is one of the greatest pleasures in life. High heels are a pleasure as well! Welcome to the blogosphere!

Hi girl, I didn't think I would hear from you again. We will miss you at xanga, I always thought you had so much to offer! Have a great Turkey day and be safe.

Ohhh I'm glad to read this post. I've been seeing the trailors for the movie and saw the big display at Borders the other day and couldn't make up my mind if I wanted to read it or not....I think I might now!

I'm right there with ya, girl. The last thing I'd read would be a romance novel, and the next to the last thing would be a horror. The "vampire nuts" at the library I worked at loved this book, which was good reason for me to avoid it for a good while. Teachers and other library staff kept talking about it though, and I finally gave in when my teenage daughter went ga-ga for Edward...and that was long before there was talk of a movie!

Anyway, the Twilight series was exactly what you've said. For me, it was also a re-introduction to the pleasure of a well written story. There's now consistently a novel on the top of my library stack each week. :-)
