Opening remarks and the inspiration of Twilight

I had a blog on xanga for almost 2 years when I abruptly stopped back in May 2008 because I was insanely busy! I was busy getting ready for my high school reunion and a 2 week trip back to my hometown. The reunion was great! The trip was great! So, 5 months later I am ready to get back to blogging!

I love words and today I have embraced the word, "dazzled."  I must admit that this word has been on my mind after reading, "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer.(For the record Edward the vegetarian vampire dazzled Bella - a human.) Dazzle is a great word! It means: to impress deeply or astonish with delight! Isn't that a great thing to experience in this life? The people in my life constantly dazzle me with who and what they are. I hope to share some of this delight here!

Okay....so here's something bizarre for you....I was making an infrequent visit to my Xanga specifically to post a link to a book review newsletter that I've recently become attached to, and whom should I find there but one of my long lost fellow bibliophiles. :-)

And what do you know, the first thing you blog about is books. Heehee.

My daughter and I read the Twilight series over the summer, and then my mom read it also. We are anxious to go see the film this holiday weekend! We couldn't get our schedules together for opening night, but I was at the movie theater on Friday night and just the energy off the lines of people waiting to buy tickets was a little bit dazzling. :-)
